Connect USB Peripherals up to 1000 feet from host PC
Now, Robotel’s patented USB extension technology is available in a
stand-alone product format for system integrators.
The USB X-Tender enables any peripheral device compatible with the USB 1.1
specifications to be remotely connected to a computer. Low-speed devices
such as keyboards and mice, can be located up to 1000 feet away, while
full-speed devices, such as cameras and disk drives can be located up to
150 feet away.
Imagine the possibilities for remote control of ceiling-mounted projectors
having USB control ports, or for remote control of USB cameras for
surveillance applications. The USB X-Tender will also work with special
purpose devices such as USB-based smart card readers, which might be used
to log access to specialized facilities like meeting rooms.
